I was browsing around the other day looking for a way to convert my old cassette tapes into a digital format so I can use them on my iPod. Although there are devices already available like the Cassette To MP3 unit which are great for those without a working cassette tape player, I on the other hand already have a player with an audio out jack. So basically I just need a way to to hook up old players to my computer. I could probably go down to Radio Shack and find something that would work but I still don’t have a way of capturing the audio and converting it into MP3 format.
One Package Does it All?
Then today I was just introduced to a new unit called the Audio2USB converter kit which includes the necessary cable for me to use on my cassette player and hook it up to my PC via USB. Note: this cable comes with the necessary adapters to fit the following devices:

In addition to the necessary cables to use they also provide a top notch software bundle that will capture the music from the audio source and then convert it into MP3 format so you can then transfer to iTunes or another type of music manager to transfer to your MP3 players (iPod, iPhone, Cell Phones, Android devices, etc..)
I’m waiting for the device to show up in the mail but I have a good vibe from the way it sounds. Seems simple yet powerful enough to do the job without crashing.
