Lite-On a leader in DVD & Blu Ray hardware today announced the release of their first external slim Blu Ray/DVD Combo drive. The eSEU206 is a Blu-Ray disc reader supporting 6x read speed and can burn to DVD Media at 8x and can write to CD media at 24x. The slimline Blu Ray Burner drive is a welcome addition to any netbook user that wants to take their disc on the go and not have to lug around a big optical drive. Slim drives are a perfect solution for Apple Notebooks, Netbooks, or Laptops. Also these drives fit nicely into anyone home PC environment as well by not taking up desk space and usually fit perfectly on top of the PC.
The drive only weight 350 grams and the dimentions are 145mm x 155mm. This makes it easily portable and can fit into a computer bag without noticing it at all. So feel free to take HD movies with you wherever you go and dont’ worry about an external power cord, this USB 2.o drive gets it’s power from USB.
The included software bundle features Cyberlink PowerDVD which has been optimized for Blu Ray and DVD movie playback on PC’s and laptops. The software also supports for 3D Blu Ray playback as well. Other software includes all necessary burning software for backing up your data or creating a personal DVD movie with video editing capabilities. After you burn your disc take advantage of the Lightscribe functionality that is included with this drive. Make sure you are using Lightscribe media so you can etch your disc with your image or text when you are done.
