The TEAC CD-W540E 40x12x48 CD-RW drive delivers an unbeatable
combination of performance and value. Its 40X write and 12X
rewrite speeds are the fastest available. Additionally, the
drive rips audio CDs at 40X speed, reads data at 48X and delivers
a 72ms average access time, resulting in unsurpassed
CD-ROM performance.
The drive's massive 8MB data buffer is coupled with an advanced
buffer underrun prevention technology. This
disc-saving feature suspends the recording process until the
buffer is refilled. Now you can burn safely every time, even
while multitasking.
Available in two basic configurations, the CD-W540E is ideal
for both integration and upgrades. The bare drive supports
a variety of CD recording applications and is available with
either a white or black bezel. The retail kit is ready for
easy installation. It includes Roxio's Easy CD Creator 5 for
audio and data recording, Musicmatch Jukebox for MP3 ripping
and burning and PhotoImpression for digital image editing.
This kit is compatible with Windows XP/98/Me/NT4 and 2000.
