So, you’ve decided to take the plunge into the dark side, have you? Mac, tsk tsk! All kidding aside, there really is a lot to love about the efficiency of the Mac os kernel. A few years back, Mac decided that Intel was the end all and decided to start outsourcing their parts to PC manufacturers. Needless to say, this brought Apple’s Mac even closer to us dirty, PC loving heathens with each new update of their OS. A few warped geniuses got the idea to skip the insane Mac retail prices and build their own towers using guts that closely match that of a retail counterpoint. Enter: the Hackintosh. Our new build covers the parts you’ll need to build your own custom Hackintosh PC build for the ultimate hybrid. What’s the difference between this and the real McCoy you may ask: this build gives you the flexibility to make tons of choices for yourself. As an added side bonus, you won’t be supporting the price gouging of an evil tech corporation.
As a side note, you must spring the extra cash for the SDD boot up drive. There are workarounds to get the ‘old fashioned’ hdd to work with Snow Leopard. But, it isn’t very pretty. I recommend just picking up the SDD. It will make your OS run pretty smooth just like the real thing.

This build is still missing a little something, something. I got it! Throw in an igloon Ultra Slim Mini Bluetooth 3.0 Wireless Keyboard and an Apple Magic Mouse (which only costs a ‘mere’ $72.99) to complete the package. It’s absolutely hilarious that the official Apple wireless mouse nearly costs more money than the GPU in this build. Don’t forget to boost your hipster cred with a black fedora and Bono’s latest album on your hard drive. There we go. That pretty much settles it. “It’s a beautiful DAYYYYYYY!”
