When I first took a look at VSO's new Blu Ray converting apps they only had a Blu Ray to PS3 conversion app which is fine if you have a PS3. But for those that needed to convert to say an iPod, iPad, to DVD or other formats you were out of luck.

That is until now, VSO has just released their Blu Ray Converter Ultimate which is like the title says, the ultimate converter of Blu Ray video. Now anyone with a Blu Ray burner on their Windows 7, Vista, or XP boxes can freely rip Blu Ray discs to a format that makes sense. Supported formats include AVI, MKV, PS3, XBox 360, iPod, iPad, 1080p, H264, etc... So you have your choices when it comes down to it.

If you take a look at Blu Ray Converter Ultimate's interface you will see that the process is pretty straight forward. Basically all you do is choose your Blu Ray Drive with the movie in it and then choose the Video Profile and quality of the output. They have added a really nice widget which shows you what the video quality will be based on the length of the movie and the setting you choose. This is really a great way to customize the final output.
