Editors Note:
This product contained an integrated CSS ripper with
is illegal in many countries. It is illegal because it circumvents
copy protection mechanisims. We recommend using a software
product that does not contain a 'ripper' if you are in a country
where rippers are illegal, this includes the USA. However DVDXPress is
a new product to market (not from 321 Studios) that does not
have an illegal ripper integrated in it and it is basically
a modded version of the original DVD X Copy Platinum, hence
the name is almost identical. Click
here to learn more about the new DVDXPress
This product is not recommended -- At one time this
was the most dominate product in the marketplace. It was
really the first. They lost a recent court case forcing them
to remove support for backing up encrypted (commercial) DVDs
and can no longer help you if you run into problems. Support
was their previous strength and why they were worth the higher
price. Now they remain expensive and cannot offer the same
level of support you will find with the others.
Lawsuit issues
321 Studios recently lost two seperate lawsuits over their DVD X Copy product
line. In the end they were forced to stop manufacturing, supporting, or selling
this software. Because of this they currently cease to exist.
