Unlike other utility programs with a similar purpose, MP3 Tag Clinic displays all tag data from all files in a folder, all at the same time in an editable, spreadsheet-like table. Tag fields can be edited individually, or any combination of tag fields or whole tags can be easily selected to apply the same editing function to all of them at once. Tag Clinic quickly and easily renames MP3 files based upon the tag data they contain, or creates the tag data itself by instantly extracting it from file names that already exist. The program provides a Single-Tag Viewer/Editor as well as a Multi-Tag Viewer/Editor. The Single-Tag Editor can be used to edit the tag in one file; or, it can be used to apply the same tag data to any number of selected files in the Multi-Tag Editor. The Multi-Tag Editor is equipped with two popup menus for performing the most-needed editing functions on either single or multiple files, all with just a quick click of the mouse. Data can be swapped between fields, printed, or saved to one of five different file formats. File name changes are previewed before they are applied, and complete undo's are provided for both the previews and the file name changes themselves. The renaming feature is highly customizable with a straightforward interface that allows you to save your favorite formats for later reuse.
