At first glance of the Recover Disc interface it may not seem like it does much, but what it provides will be a time saver or even a life saver depending on what data you need back. There is no mystery on what this app does, the title says it all, Recover Disc. If you have any damaged CD or DVD discs where they are either scratched or just worn out by leaving them in a hot car you can now rejoice because that disc can be recovered. Also you can recover any data that was burned onto a DVD that was not finalized. If a DVD is not finalized then your computer will not be able to show the contents on the disc. Has this ever happened to you? Finally it can recover and data that was burned to an incomplete burn session. So if you have a failed DVD you can still recover that data.

Below is a screenshot of Recover Disc, like I said not much to look at but that's not the point here. The point is to recover your disc to a useable condition again right? All you simply do is enter the damaged disc into your DVD drive and start up Recover Disc. The software will auto detect the disc and display the contents. All you do is select what data you want to backup and recover and click the extract button. Viola! Your data is safe and secure again, ready to be burned to another disc or just keep in on your hard disk. Like I said before this is one of those apps you need to have as a just in case and save hours of frustration.
